The Civic Museum of Caprino Veronese was opened in 1976 thanks to a group of enthusiast local archaeological researchers led by local historian prof. Mario Marangoni.
It is located inside the prominent building of Palazzo Carlotti, an eighteenth-century villa, for years the town hall. Initially it collected archaeological materials. Later it was enriched with paleontological findings  (donation Gaspari), the photographic exhibition "Caprino, values to defend" (prof. Eugenio Turri), a “Lamentation” of the fourteenth century, relics of the Great War, other local historical and artistic objects. The Museum as a whole shows a slice of fairly complete history of the Caprino area and the Baldo area, an  ancient history that continues over time.

The museum is divided into six areas:
1. The "Hall of Dreams" - meeting room
2. The Risorgimento room
3. The room of the archaeological finds
4. The room of the "Lamentation"
5. The room of the historical photos
6. The hall of paleontological finds.

Under the entrance porch there are memories of Medici family visitors to the palace.
A mention goes to the Roman altar of Calpurnius Mercator, the oldest historic relic of Caprino, discovered between the foundations of the new church of Caprino in 1755 and to the two stone sarcophagi, dating back to Lombard period, exposed in the open gallery.
